Fair Trade is a rigorous certification process that ensures, among other things, that farmers and workers receive a fair wage and can support their families and break the cycle of poverty.

Fair Trade helps producers in developing countries to gain direct access to international markets, as well as develop the business capacity necessary to compete in the global marketplace. Fair Trade empowers these producers to take care of themselves—without developing dependency on Foreign Aid.
